COMPOSING WITH SYNTHETIC VOICES

This workshop introduces creative approaches to composing with synthetic voices in electronic and acousmatic music. Through examples from his own artistic practice and research at Luleå University of Technology, Magnus Bunnskog will discuss how voice synthesis can be used as musical material: shaped, transformed, spatialised and manipulated beyond conventional speech or singing.
The workshop is open to all visitors at Norbergfestival and requires no previous experience. It is intended for anyone curious about synthetic voices as a compositional tool, whether working with electronic music, sound art, performance, or experimental forms of listening.
